On May 30, 2008 Bluewater GMAC Real Estate was awarded the "Employer of the Year" award in the large company category at a Morehead City luncheon. This award was given by Job link and the Carteret County Chamber of Commerce.
At this luncheon, Bluewater was recognized for our continuous efforts in the area of customer service, employee relations, and community involvement. The President of the Chamber of Commerce read many letters that were written from employees and agents that expressed Warren and Futral's wonderful efforts. Woody and Lisa Warren accepted the award on the behalf all their employees.Owner Woody Warren, is known to treat his employees as one big family, but also strives to help others in his community by reaching out to different organizations where he can make a difference. Board member of the Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Warren is also involved with organizations such as Bogue Banks Water Corporation, EDC Board Member, and the Swansboro Rotary Club. Owner Sherrell Futral is also involved in organizations such as Sound Bank, Board of Adjustments, Founder of Down East Boys, and the Presenter of the Gospel Music Convention. Being owners of Bluewater GMAC Real Estate Mr. Warren and Mr. Futral emphasize on incorporating the strong sense of community involvement in the company. Bluewater GMAC Real Estate has celebrated 22 years of customer service, employee relations, and community outreach. As a company, Bluewater is proud to be involved in organizations such as the Walk to D'Feet ALS in Emerald Isle, the Boys and Girls Club, and the March for Babies, as well as many more organizations.
