On Tuesday, June 17th, at the Sheraton Hotel in Atlantic Beach, Bluewater GMAC was awarded the Bronze award for raising a total of $839.00 for the 2008 Crystal Coast March for Babies hosted by the March of Dimes.
Two Bluewater employees were recognized for their personal efforts in raising money for the cause. Morgan Jackson, Marketing Coordinator, received a Bronze award for raising between $250 to $500. Carrie Long, Executive Assistant, was also recognized for her personal efforts and received a Bronze Award.Each sponsor and walkers were recognized for all their efforts and participation. Every year the March for Babies has grown, and has raised more money each year. The walkers and local sponsors raised an astonishing $51,691 for 2008. Kmart's sponsorship increased that value to make the total $67,341! Last year, the Crystal Coast raised $43,731. Each year the value has been increasing due to the efforts and participation from the local walkers and sponsors. Babies are born to soon causing either fatality or a life-long disability. Each year, 120,000 babies are born with a serious birth defect. Walking for the Crystal Coast March for Babies will save a babies' life. See you at next year's walk!
