Woody and Sherrell win the 19th Annual Arnold Murray Small Business Person of the Year Award!
On January 24th, owners Woody Warren and Sherrell Futral of Bluewater GMAC won the 19th annual Arnold Murray Small Business Person of the Year Award. The Carteret County Chamber establishes this award to recognize business leaders in the community who are setting a standard for excellence in all aspects-from operating successful and growing businesses to excelling in customer relations, community involvement, environmental stewardship and social responsibility. Out of seven nominees Woody and Sherrell were chosen because they excel in every criteria that this award defines. The award recognizes individuals who demonstrate successful operation of a small business and has made significant contributions to the community. Woody and Sherrell both demonstrate the following: • Active and involved member of the Chamber of Commerce in good standing • Owner, partner or major shareholder of the business and active in its day to day management • A substantial history of an established business • Growth in employment and sales or unit volume • Demonstrates community leadership by participating in community activities, and contribution of his or her personal time, effort and resources. • Demonstrates exemplary business practices to address quality, customer service, environmental stewardship and social responsibility Congratulations Woody and Sherrell for winning the 19th Annual Arnold Murray Small Business Person of the Year Award!
