I discovered Emerald Isle while vacationing here in 1990 with my husband Ken and my 2 youngest children. We loved it and bought a vacation home the first time we were here. Two years later we decided to make it our permanent home. Both Ken and I grew up near the ocean and I always say that it's in your blood forever. I was a licensed Realtor in Maryland since 1975 and decided that it would be a lot more fun selling houses at the beach. It was a good move for the whole family. My husband and youngest son Ryan recently opened "Kathryn's Bistro and Martini Bar" and my only daughter Kelly is a freshman at UNC Chapel Hill. My other 4 sons and their families love to come and visit!
This is my 7th year selling in Emerald Isle and I love it! I meet people from all over and help them buy and sell their vacation homes, investment properties, full time residences and retirement homes.
