SPORTS/FITNESS COMPLEX: The Sports Complex features, among other amenities, an indoor pool, video games, exercise equipment, a rental desk and a snack bar! With its doors open from 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 8:00 a.m. -10:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday, it will fit everyone’s vacation schedule.

The Sports Complex provides you with the equipment and facilities necessary to help you continue to look fabulous in your shorts and swimwear even when you are away from home. While you are on vacation there is no need to give up exercising. The fitness room in the Sports Complex includes exercise machines, free weights, a universal gym and men’s and women’s locker rooms. Not into lifting weights? The Sports Complex also features a large indoor swimming pool which allows you a cooling way to stay in motion. However, if your idea of staying active involves something a bit more competitive, Summer Winds has two outdoor tennis courts, two indoor racquetball courts and a basketball court. You do not even have to worry about where to pack your sports equipment when you vacation at Summer Winds, because the Sports Complex has a rental counter that provides you the opportunity to rent anything from racquetball racquets to croquet sets. With a small deposit and minimal fee, all the equipment you’d need to have a sporting good time is at your disposal!

After a long day of working out, what better way is there to relax than either in the indoor hot tub or dry sauna? Both provide an excellent way to relieve muscle tension! What a nice reward for being so diligent with your workout. However, you don’t have to have a workout to use these sultry amenities. Soak in the hot tub, or relax in the sauna and pamper yourself. Just escape and let the heat take you away from all your stress and tension. After all, this is your vacation, and you deserve a chance to unwind.

Over looking the racquetball courts, the game room features arcade games, ski ball and a pool table. Plenty of things to keep yourself entertained during a passing rainstorm. Spend time making new friends and playing games.

On the main floor of the Sports Complex, adjacent to the game room, there is a wonderful snack bar that offers breakfast items between 8:00am and 11:00am. There is also a rental desk that allows you the opportunity to rent not only sports equipment, but also videos and video players. In addition to these items, to help you pass your time, there is also a book exchange from which you can borrow a book, or leave one for someone else to enjoy. CONFERENCE FACILITIES: Summer Winds has two conference rooms that can be rented by guests. The Sand Dollar Room accommodates 25 people. The Hurricane Room is equipped to handle approximately 50 individuals. The Hurricane Room also doubles as a café during the in-season; therefore it is not available between Memorial Day and Labor Day for conferences. The conference rooms have all appropriate ABC permits that allow alcoholic beverages. For information on renting the conference facilities, please contact the on-site management company.
